Product Description
Chopped Strand Mat serves as a versatile reinforcement solution for diverse composite manufacturing needs. It consists of 50 mm, silane-coated E-CR glass filaments uniformly distributed in a non-woven structure and secured by a binder. This design ensures optimal compatibility with major resin types like unsaturated polyester, vinyl ester, epoxy, and phenolic.
The mat adapts well to common production methods including hand lay-up, filament winding, compression molding, and continuous laminating. Consequently, it is extensively used across the infrastructure, construction, automotive, chemical, and marine industries for manufacturing a variety of components such as boats, bathroom fixtures, automotive parts, chemical-resistant piping and storage tanks, cooling towers, as well as assorted panels and structural building elements.

Packaging
● This mat is supplied in rolls with standard diameters between 28 cm and 60 cm. Other custom sizes may also be available upon request.
● The product is wound on a paper core, with standard inner diameters of either 76.2 mm (3 inches) or 101.6 mm (4 inches).
● Each roll is individually wrapped in plastic and ultimately packed in a cardboard box.
● Pallets are loaded with rolls positioned vertically or horizontally, a configuration optimized for stability during transport and storage.
Storage
● Unless otherwise specified, the chopped strand mats should be stored in a cool, dry, water-proof area. It is recommended that the room temperature and humidity be always at 5℃-35℃ and 35%-80% respectively.
● The unit weight of Chopped Strand Mat ranges from 70g-1000g/m2. The roll width ranges from 100mm-3200mm .
