Production Process Upgrade and Product Iteration Plan of Jiuding Fiberglass Continuous Filament Mat

Jiangsu Jiuding Industrial Materials Co., Ltd. currently owns three sets of continuous mat production lines adopting the one-step wheel spinning technology. Taking alkali-free glass balls as the core raw material, the company applies the crucible wire drawing process for production, with an annual output of 12,000 tons of special glass fiber swirl mats. The existing production lines have maintained stable operation for a long time and supported the company’s stable supply of conventional alkali-free glass fiber continuous mat products for various industrial fields.

To further optimize production technology, improve product performance and comply with national industrial development policies, the company plans to carry out comprehensive technological transformation and industrial upgrading. It proposes to construct four new high-modulus glass fiber continuous mat production lines with the tank furnace spinning process, which will completely replace the original three traditional production lines that adopt the alkali-free glass ball crucible spinning method.

This transformation project has remarkable advantages in process optimization and product upgrading. The traditional crucible wire drawing process used in the original production lines is relatively backward and listed in the restricted industrial categories by the National Development and Reform Commission. The phase-out of the outdated process will help the company realize green, efficient and standardized production, and further enhance its overall production compliance level. Meanwhile, the product will be upgraded from ordinary alkali-free glass fiber continuous mat to high-modulus glass fiber continuous mat with higher strength, better toughness and more stable comprehensive performance.

After the completion of the project, the upgraded high-modulus glass fiber continuous mat products will fully meet the stringent application requirements of high-end industries. The products are mainly applicable to the manufacturing of large-scale wind power blades and the cold insulation construction of large special ship hulls, filling the market demand for high-performance composite materials in the fields of new energy equipment and special marine engineering. This technological upgrade will greatly improve the company’s product competitiveness, expand high-end market share, and lay a solid foundation for the enterprise’s long-term high-quality and sustainable development.
