A pivotal symposium focused on the development of Nantong's wind power sector was successfully held at Jiuding Wind Power Technology on November 20. Convened under the theme "Building a Bridge Between Government and Enterprises, Overcoming Industry Development Bottlenecks, and Empowering High-Quality Growth," the meeting was chaired by Zhu Zhenyu, Deputy Director of the Nantong Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology. The event gathered representatives from the industry and information technology bureaus of counties and districts including Rudong, Haimen, Qidong, and Tongzhou Bay, alongside leaders from 12 wind power enterprises, providing a crucial platform to discuss industry opportunities and strategize for future development.
The session began with presentations from the local government representatives. They systematically detailed the wind power resources and development progress within their respective jurisdictions, highlighting regional characteristics. Their focus was on key industrial development segments, outlining specific plans for the scientific planning of projects, advancements in core technologies, and improvements in production efficiency. The discussions also addressed fundamental topics such as cultivating industrial scale and enhancing synergy across the upstream and downstream supply chain. These exchanges facilitated an in-depth analysis of potential for cross-regional cooperation and new avenues for industrial growth, thereby building consensus and charting a course for the high-quality development of Nantong's wind power industry.
During the interactive exchange session, enterprise representatives engaged in in-depth discussions based on their operational experiences and perspectives on new energy industry trends. They collectively highlighted common challenges facing the sector, notably a shortage of skilled talent, weaknesses in industrial chain coordination, and various resource constraints. A unanimous view emerged on the urgent need to strengthen government-enterprise cooperation to break through these development bottlenecks. A representative from Jiuding Wind Power Technology, Fan Xiangqian, presented on the operational prospects and challenges related to the company's wind turbine blade business.
In his concluding remarks, Deputy Director Zhu Zhenyu emphasized that enterprises are the core drivers of industrial development. He assured that the government would precisely define its role and responsibilities, focusing on optimizing the industrial ecosystem. This commitment includes sustained efforts in areas such as supporting technological innovation, establishing public service platforms, attracting and cultivating professional talent, and facilitating access to financial resources. Addressing the key issues raised by the enterprises, he outlined three primary initiatives:
1. Establishing a regular mechanism for identifying and resolving problems, enhancing coordination with the Development and Reform Commission, and building a dual-drive development model encompassing both "manufacturing and subsequent operations."
2. Focusing on securing key such as land use and logistics, while deepening university-enterprise collaboration to cultivate skilled professionals tailored to industry needs.
3. Guiding local enterprises to establish supporting partnerships with central state-owned enterprises, encouraging increased investment in innovation and R&D, supporting expansion into overseas markets, and advocating for a "high-quality, fair-price" approach to foster healthy competition and industrial upgrading.
Zhu Zhenyu stated that the Nantong Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology would use this symposium as a significant opportunity to translate enterprise concerns into concrete actions, effectively address their difficulties, and work alongside wind power companies to jointly compose a new chapter in the high-quality development of Nantong's wind power industry.
