In order to further standardize the safety management of hazardous operations and enhance the professional competency of safety monitors, the Safety and Environmental Protection Department of Jiuding New Material organized a specialized training session for hazardous work monitors on the afternoon of December 17. A total of 87 safety monitors from various departments across the company participated in the training.
The training was closely aligned with the practical demands of hazardous work supervision, focusing on four key aspects: the purpose of assigning safety monitors, their responsibilities, working methods, and priority tasks. The session provided a detailed interpretation of supervision standards and pre-operation approval procedures for common high-risk operations, including hot work, working at heights, and lifting operations. Emphasis was placed on the inspection duties of monitors before operations commence, such as verifying whether operators hold valid certifications, ensuring emergency facilities are in place and functional, checking for combustible materials near hot work areas, confirming no residual ignition sources remain after hot work, inspecting the proper use of protective equipment during height-related tasks, and ensuring strict adherence to the "Ten No-Lift Rules" during lifting operations. In case of any irregularities, monitors are required to immediately initiate emergency response and reporting procedures.
Following the training, all participants underwent an on-site assessment via a WeChat mini-program. The trainees carefully read each question and completed the assessment independently, achieving a final pass rate of 94.6%.
Moving forward, the company will continue to conduct regular training and refresher courses for hazardous work monitors, continuously optimizing the training content and innovating delivery methods. These efforts aim to consistently strengthen the professional capabilities of safety monitors and reinforce the safety defense line for the company’s hazardous operations.
