On the afternoon of June 17, Jiuding Group successfully held the national corporate premiere of the large-scale historical and cultural documentary Guan Gong at the multi-functional hall of Rugao Cultural Center. The event was attended by all middle and senior management personnel, outstanding backbones from various departments, and newly recruited college graduates, who revisited the time-honored legend of loyalty and righteousness and drew spiritual strength from the ancient sage’s noble virtues.
The premiere kicked off in a solemn and warm atmosphere. Gu Qingbo, Chairman of Jiuding Group, delivered an opening speech. He noted that the screening of the documentary serves as a valuable spiritual lesson for all employees. He encouraged the team to cultivate cultural insight, refine personal conduct, and draw spiritual motivation from the documentary. He also emphasized leveraging the fine virtues of ancient sages and outstanding traditional Chinese culture to build four key talent teams covering enterprise leaders, model employees, professional backbones and excellent teams, so as to underpin the steady and long-term development of the enterprise.
Subsequently, Xia Jun, the director of the documentary, gave a special lecture titled Interpreting China’s Spiritual Icon of Moral Perfection. Centering on four thought-provoking topics — why Guan Gong, who despised wealth, is worshipped as the God of Wealth; why a general who ended his life in defeat is honored as the Martial Saint; what lessons can be learned from Guan Gong’s final defeat in Jingzhou; and why Guan Gong has become an eternal and revered spiritual symbol through the ages — Director Xia conducted an in-depth interpretation of Guan Gong’s noble personality embodied in loyalty, righteousness, benevolence, courage, integrity and commitment.
He dialectically analyzed both the shining merits and inherent limitations of Guan Gong’s character, sorted out the evolutionary trajectory of his image from a distinguished general in turbulent times to a time-honored sage, and elaborated on the spiritual inheritance logic of his deeds and its profound enlightenment for the growth of modern enterprises and individuals.
Following the lecture, all attendees watched the documentaryGuan Gong collectively. The immersive viewing experience brought everyone a profound spiritual baptism and ideological sublimation.
