On November 25, 2025, the annual member conference of the Nantong New Materials Industry Association was successfully convened at Jiuding New Material. Jointly organized by the Association, the Nanjing University Nantong Alumni Association, and the Nantong Branch of Bank of Nanjing, the event was held under the theme "Uniting Hearts and Efforts to Fulfill Our Initial Aspirations, Collaborating to Strive Forward and Compose a New Chapter – Jointly Building a New Future for Nantong's New Materials Industry." The conference comprehensively reviewed the Association's achievements in 2025 and outlined the development strategy for 2026, alongside hosting various signing and accreditation ceremonies. The event gathered over 50 representatives from member enterprises, friendly business associations, universities, and financial institutions. Distinguished attendees included Lu Jianxin, Vice Chairman of the Nantong Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Chairman of the Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce, and Xu Yinghua, Deputy Head of the United Front Work Department of the Rugao Municipal Committee and Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce.
Prior to the meeting, guests visited the company's product exhibition hall and production facilities, gaining firsthand insight into the innovative vitality of the new materials sector. Following the tour, a group photograph was taken of all participating representatives.
During the formal conference session, Gu Roujian, President of the Association, delivered the 2025 Work Report on behalf of the organization. The report systematically summarized the Association's positive progress in areas such as Party building, enterprise services, industrial collaboration, and internal capacity building. It also put forward three core objectives for 2026: "Precision Services, Collaborative Development, and Brand Upgrading." Subsequently, the assembly reviewed and approved the 2025 Financial Report and the 2025 Supervisory Board Report. The transparent financial data and the rigorous, standardized performance of the Supervisory Board received unanimous approval from the member units.
To strengthen the Association's organization and consolidate industrial strength, an accreditation ceremony was held during the conference to welcome new member enterprises. Several companies, including Duowei Lvjian Technology (Nantong) Co., Ltd., Nantong Chuanghua Group, Huaye Science and Innovation Park, Jiangsu Fastest International Freight Forwarding Co., Ltd., and Seo Ltd. Network Technology Co., formally joined the Association, expanding its collective family.
A significant highlight was the cooperation signing session. The Association entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with the Nantong Branch of Bank of Nanjing. This partnership will foster deep collaboration in areas including enterprise financing, sci-tech innovation finance, and industrial chain services, aiming to provide member units with more targeted and efficient financial support. A responsible person from the Bank's Nantong Branch expressed their full commitment to supporting Nantong's new materials enterprises in overcoming funding bottlenecks and fostering high-quality industrial development.
Furthermore, an expert from the Nantong Institute of Materials, Nanjing University, shared the latest research findings in the field of new materials. Several entrepreneur representatives also engaged in exchanges and speeches focusing on topics like "Intelligent Transformation" and "International Layout," creating a lively atmosphere brimming with intellectual exchange.
In his concluding remarks, Lu Jianxin, Vice Chairman of the Nantong CPPCC and Chairman of the Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce, fully affirmed the Association's work over the past year. He emphasized that the new materials industry is a strategically emerging sector prioritized for development in Nantong. He urged the Association to continue leveraging its role as a bridge and bond, enhancing government-enterprise communication, promoting resource integration, and guiding corporate innovation to contribute more substantially to the high-quality economic development of Nantong.
