Product Description
Chopped Strand Mat is a non-woven mat fabricated from E-CR glass filaments, comprising chopped fibers that are randomly yet uniformly arranged. These 50-millimeter-long chopped fibers are treated with a silane coupling agent and bonded together via an emulsion or powder binder. It is compatible with unsaturated polyester, vinyl ester, epoxy, and phenolic resins.
Chopped Strand Mat finds extensive application in hand lay-up, filament winding, compression molding, and continuous laminating processes. Its end-use markets span infrastructure and construction, automotive and building, chemical and petrochemical, and marine sectors. Examples of its applications include the manufacturing of boats, bathing equipment, auto parts, chemical-resistant pipes, tanks, cooling towers, various panels, and building components, among others.

Chopped Strand Mat boasts exceptional performance characteristics, including consistent thickness, minimal fuzz during handling, freedom from impurities, and a soft texture that allows for easy manual tearing. It also offers excellent applicability and defoaming properties, low resin consumption, rapid wet-out, and thorough impregnation in resins. Additionally, it provides high tensile strength, making it suitable for producing large-area components, and contributes to superior mechanical properties in the finished parts.

Packaging
● Chopped strand mat rolls can have a diameter ranging from 28 centimeters to 60 centimeters.
● Each roll is wound around a paper core with an inner diameter of either 76.2 millimeters (3 inches) or 101.6 millimeters (4 inches).
● The roll is encased in a plastic bag or film and subsequently packaged in a cardboard box.
● The rolls are stacked vertically or horizontally on the pallets .
Storage
● Unless otherwise specified, the chopped strand mats should be stored in a cool, dry, water-proof area. It is recommended that the room temperature and humidity be always at 5℃-35℃ and 35%-80% respectively.
● The unit weight of Chopped Strand Mat ranges from 70g-1000g/m2. The roll width ranges from 100mm-3200mm .
